Under the Canadian Government Program Summer Jobs. The Colombian refugee association is looking for eleven people to work in the development of the World Colombian festival, which will be in august, and support different activities related to the Colombian Refugee association.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the Canadian Government Program Summer Jobs. The Colombian refugee association is looking for a PROGRAM DEVELOPER COORDINATOR to work in the development of the World Colombian festival and support different activities related to the Colombian Refugee association.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a competent social services volunteer coordinator to support all aspects of the planning, organization, and development of the festival, which will be held in August 2021, and the coordination tasks in the Colombian refugee association, especially those related to French communication.   This person will be responsible for the management and supervision of the project.

 

PROGRAM DEVELOPER COORDINATOR

  • Responsible for hiring, management, supervision, and control of the Project.

  • Translating in French all of the documents, advertisements, and any informative piece of the Colombian Refugee association.

  • Reviewing, preparing, and presenting reports regarding the festival and the Colombian Refugees association.

  • Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of products asked by the manager.

  • Monitoring, timelines, and productivity of the team.

  • Addressing and resolving possible issues for the World Colombian Festival and the Colombian Refugees association

  • Helping the festival organization staff and Colombian refugee association members.

  • Answering clients’ queries.

  • Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures.

  • Overseeing all activities related to the World Colombian festival

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge in business administration, logistics, or related fields preferred.

  • Desirable French as a second language.

  • Good knowledge of Spanish would be an asset.

  • Experience in logistics management required.

2. SOCIAL SERVICES VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR (This position is no longer available)

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a competent social services volunteer coordinator to support all aspects of the planning, organization, and development of the world Colombian festival, which will be in August 2021; as well as the coordination tasks in the Colombian refugee association, especially those related to French communication.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseeing all activities related to the World Colombian festival.

  • Reviewing, preparing, and presenting reports regarding the festival and the Colombian Refugees association.

  • Helping in the French translation and clear communication of the documents, advertisements, and any informative piece of the Colombian Refugee association.

  • Organizing and managing inventory and storage for the World Colombian festival.

  • Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures.

We are looking for a competent social services volunteer coordinator for the marketing sector to support all aspects of the planning, organization, and development of the world Colombian festival, which will be in August 2021, and the coordination tasks in the Colombian refugee association.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strategic marketing initiatives and activities for the World Colombian Festival and the Colombian refugee association.

  • Implement marketing plans that include print, broadcast, and online content.

  • Create branded advertising campaigns and support the marketing and design teams by coordinating and collating content.

  • Set up tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities.

  • Conduct market research to identify marketing opportunities and negotiate media coverage.

  • Traffic all advertising efforts to appropriate channels.

  • Develop and manage all internal communication systems.

  • Create, maintain and strengthen the organization’s overall brand through all media avenues.

  • Organize and streamline service offerings into user-friendly concepts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source and recruit volunteers through various techniques (databases, e-mail, social media, etc.) for the World Colombian Festival.

  • Collect information on availabilities and skills.

  • Arrange for appropriate training when needed

  • Produce schedules for everyday activities

  • Responsibilities to the right people for special events

  • Coordinate teams of volunteers for large-scale actions

  • Communicate frequently with volunteers to ensure they are satisfied and well-placed

  • Disseminate information for upcoming actions and events

  • Keep detailed records of volunteers’ information and assignments

  • Ensure the purpose of the organization and its actions are clearly communicated.

5. SOCIAL SERVICES VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Artistic sector

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a competent social services volunteer coordinator in the artistic sector to support all aspects of the planning, organization, and development of the world Colombian festival, which will be in August 2021, and the coordination tasks in the Colombian refugee association.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Point person for all auditions. Coordinate and post all audition notices. Organize all auditions in

  • Contracting of all chorus, orchestras, and musical groups for the World Colombian Festival  

  • All Communications for schedule and logistic dissemination to the chorus, orchestra, and musical groups.

  • Oversee a coordinate all “Supernumerary/Supers” involvement in productions - all aspects of super

  • selection, retention, communication.

  • Ensure all performing artists have up-to-date bio and headshots in the database. Work with the Marketing department to ensure all artist's bios are approved and posted on the company website.

  • Create and maintain the Artistic and Production Department database.

  • Creating promotion pieces for the festival.

6. SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNITY MANAGER (This position is no longer available)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a competent social media community manager in the planning, organization, and development of the world Colombian festival, which will be on August 2021, and the coordination tasks in the Colombian refugee association.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the development and implementation process for the World Colombian Festival and the Colombian Refugee organizations.

  • Develop support materials like brochures, flyers, scripts, videos, and field communication for the festival and association.

  • Research of promotional activities.

  • Perform as company representative for certain community and charitable events.

  • Support Account Executives in efforts to formulate promotional packages for the festival.

  • Provide project status updates to the manager

  • Support developing staff promotional ideas and coordinates photography of the festival and association.

  • Develop relations with all of the festival and association staff to execute related activities.

  • Develop event and promotions recap miscellaneous tasks.

  • Lead crowds in a high-energy performance environment with games, dances, and other family-targeted activities for the festival.

  • Supervise and perform as on-site, on-mic host of events when necessary.

We are looking for a competent accounting bookkeeper to support all aspects of the planning, organization, and development of the world Colombian festival, which will be in August 2021, and the coordination tasks in the Colombian refugee association.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting accounting team by managing schedules, filing important documents, and communicating relevant information regarding the world Colombian festival and the Colombian Refugees Association

  • Store and sort financial and non-financial data in electronic form and present reports

  • Handle the processing of all orders with accuracy and timeliness

  • Inform manager of unforeseen delays or problems.

  • Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional material for the festival and the association.

  • Helping the festival staff in organizing budgets

8. GRAPHIC DESIGNER-MULTIMEDIA, INTERACTIVE NEW MEDIA (This position is no longer available)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a competent graphic designer-multimedia, interactive new media to support all aspects of the planning, organization, and development of the world Colombian festival, which will be in August 2021, and the coordination tasks in the Colombian refugee association.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs weekly detailed inventory analysis to determine production needs for the World Colombian Festival, The Colombian Refugees Associations, and the Radio.

  • Plans and coordinates production priorities with the manager  

  • Develops and prioritizes the production schedule which details all special product requirements.

  • Assumes production planning responsibilities, as needed, in Customer Service and Production

  • Planning Manager’s absence.

  • Provides administrative support to the production planning process

  • Maintains item numbers listed in the timekeeping system.

  • Maintains work order listings in databases and closes out work orders as they are completed.

  • Prepares and distributes open work order report daily to track progress.

  • Helping with the promotion and organization for the festival

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a competent logistic assistant to support all aspects of the planning, organization, and development of the world Colombian festival, which will be in August 2021, and the coordination tasks in the Colombian refugee association.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and complete reports and assignments for the world Colombian festival and the Colombian Refugee association

  • Presenter reports regarding the festival and the Colombian Refugees association

  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.

  • Assist peers as required (coordinate meetings, training, etc.)

  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers for the festival and the association.

  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Entering the daily data (reports, timelines)

10. AUDIOVISUAL (AV) ASSISTANT – MOTION PICTURES AND BROADCASTING (1)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a competent audiovisual (av) assistant – motion pictures and broadcasting to support all aspects of the planning, organization, and development of the world Colombian festival, which will be in August 2021, and the coordination tasks in the Colombian refugee association.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Help prepare the set with lights, props, equipment, etc for the world Colombian Festival and the Colombian Refugees association.

  • Assist costume designers, directors, camera people, and other crew members in the festival.

  • Distribute daily paperwork (e.g. scripts, call sheets, reports)

  • Conduct crowd control by putting up signs, directing pedestrians away from filming, lockdown sets, etc.

  • Act as a runner distributing messages or items within film crew and cast

  •  Perform administrative work (answering phones, paperwork, etc.)

  •  Undertake errands as assigned.

  • Supporting in the promotion of advertisements for the festival.
